Dyslexia Routes Workshop for Parents and Carers

Route 1 For Parents Signpost

This interactive workshop vividly explains what it is like to be dyslexic. Through video links, simulations and practical exercises I will guide you through the early days of dyslexia and how to discover your child’s learning preferences. Tips to support homework, organisation, reading and spelling are included as well as advice on how to work collaboratively with school. These presentations can be organised in your local schools or Dyslexia Routes will find a suitable venue for you. Distance is no object, I am willing to travel all over the UK. This is an incredible opportunity to meet other parents in your area to share stories and ask questions over a friendly cup of tea.

  1. I attended Sharon’s workshop recently. It was extremely informative and helped me to understand how my son feels when faced with certain challenges day to day. The techniques and learning aids suggested have helped me greatly to feel more confident about working together with my son doing his homework. It has also given me ideas for doing day to day things around the house with him to build on his reading ability and sight words. Thank you Sharon, I look forward to anything else we can attend to build on this further.

  2. Sharon is the most committed and empowering person I have ever met. She is incredibly knowledgeable about neuro-diverse children and is on a mission to share her knowledge with the world!
She is approachable and professional and being the parent of a dyslexic child herself, she totally understands the worries and struggles parents have.
Her enthusiasm and passion to empower others has given me the confidence to apply my knowledge to each new challenge faced.
