Route 7: Irlen Screening
Irlen Syndrome is not an eyesight problem. For most it is a difficulty in the processing of light and as a result words may move around on the page when reading from a book, computers or Smartboard. Others may have headaches, reading fatigue or eye strain, for some night driving or co-ordination in sports may prove difficult. Irlen Syndrome can often co-occur with dyslexia or it may occur without any specific learning difficulty.
This screening is non invasive and aims to find the right coloured overlay to make reading more comfortable. A follow up report is included for school, university or workplace.
